Latest News

It has been great to see so many locals engaged in the project and to witness the new connections being made in the community.

Connected St Andrews began as a joint project between St Andrews community groups and Council, however over the next twelve months we will work together to transition the project into the community’s hands. This means there will be no end date for Connected St Andrews as it will belong to the community. Council believes strongly in the value of Connected St Andrews and will continue to play a supporting role into the future.

You can visit the Connected St Andrews webpage for a full rundown of the project including:

 What’s next:

In April 2023 Connected St Andrews Project Grants will be opening.
A grant pool totalling $30,000 will be available to support community-led projects that meet the aims of the Connected St Andrews Project.

Before the grants open, we’ll be out and about talking to people to promote the grants and listen to your ideas for community projects.

To help you get ready to apply for a Connected St Andrews Project Grant, there will an Ideas Cafe in March at Wadambuk St Andrews Community Centre. You’ll be able to pull apart your project idea, connect with like-minded people to form partnerships and look at how to design your project to have ongoing benefits for the community.

We’ll let you know when these events are happening.
