WHOLE WADAMBUK CENTRE

 

Looking to hire the whole venue? Wadambuk St Andrews Community Centre offers a spacious, flexible and welcoming facility perfect for your next big occasion.

 

Whether you’re planning a child’s birthday party, a wedding, engagement celebration, funeral, or any special gathering, our fully equipped venue can be tailored to suit your needs. With access to all indoor spaces, kitchen facilities, and outdoor areas, we’ll work with you to help make your event smooth, stress-free and truly memorable — whatever the occasion.

When reserving the space, you can choose between a 4-hour Short Function, an 8-hour Standard Function or our Special Occassion rate that takes into account set up the day before and clean up the day after.

MULTI-FUNCTION ROOM

 

​Our Multi Function Room offers a flexible, spacious setting that comfortably accommodates up to 60 people seated at tables, up to 80 theatre style (presentations), or more standing.

 

This room is ideal for a variety of events, from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations. The space offers easy flow between indoor and outdoor areas, thanks to glass doors that open to the outdoor deck. The natural light from the outdoor access, combined with the spacious interior, creates an inviting atmosphere perfect for events of any type.

KITCHEN / CAFE HIRE

 

Our Kitchen / Café offers a relaxed, café-style seating arrangement for 20-30 people, with a comfortable breakout area featuring cosy couches for a casual and inviting atmosphere. With a total capacity of 20-30 people, it's the perfect spot for small gatherings, casual meetings, or social events.

The fully equipped kitchen makes catering simple, while access to the outdoor deck allows for a seamless indoor–outdoor experience. This area can be booked on its own, or used as part of a room hire - just let us know when booking your preferred venue if you’d like to include the kitchen as part of your event.

OUTDOOR ENTERTAINMENT AREA

 

Available as part of your room booking, this outdoor space includes an expansive veranda with stunning views of the gardens and Diamond Creek - a beautiful, relaxed setting to extend your event beyond the indoors.

 

The area includes a paved space with a power outlet, perfect for hosting outdoor bands or live performances. Enjoy the sandpit, lawn area, and comfortable outdoor furniture, offering guests a relaxed and inviting atmosphere for socialising and entertainment. Ideal for casual gatherings, celebrations, or outdoor performances, this space seamlessly blends natural beauty with functionality.

OLD SCHOOL ROOM

 

The Old School Room, originally part of the 1850s gold rush-era school, is a charming and intimate space, ideal for meetings and smaller events with a capacity of 20-30 people. Its historic character blends perfectly with modern amenities, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere for any occasion.

In addition to its use for meetings and events, the Old School Room is also available as a Gallery Hire for exhibitions, featuring professional hanging tracks and specialised lighting equipment. This versatile space provides a unique setting to showcase art, making it an ideal choice for artists or curators looking for a distinctive and historic venue.

ART SPACE HIRE

 

Our Art Exhibition Space offers a free-standing area specifically designed for showcasing art. This versatile space is equipped with professional hanging systems and specialised lighting, ensuring your artwork is displayed in the best possible light. Whether you’re hosting a solo exhibition or a group display, this space provides an ideal environment for artists to showcase their work with ease and elegance.

HERITAGE ROOM

 

The Heritage Room is located in a charming, original 1880s self-contained building, offering a unique and intimate setting for small meetings as well as  Health and Wellbeing consultations and GP appointments. The space is thoughtfully equipped with a kitchenette, bathroom, and a comfortable waiting room, providing all the amenities needed for professional and private sessions. This tranquil, historic setting is perfect for a variety of uses, combining classic charm with modern convenience.

ST ANDREWS HALL

Located at Proctor Street, St Andrews.

Constructed in the 1920s, St Andrews Hall is a quaint and historic venue that offers a spacious setting ideal for celebrations. The main hall can accommodate up to 100 guests. Its elevated stage enhances the venue’s versatility, making it ideal for performances, plays, music concerts, and more.

Surrounded by extensive landscaped gardens and natural bushland, St Andrews Hall provides a serene, tranquil atmosphere, adding a touch of natural beauty to any event.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please note that during the fire restriction period, our facilities will be closed on Total Fire Ban days. This includes the cancellation of any classes, activities, or bookings.

The St Andrews Community Centre and Hall CANNOT be occupied on days of Total Fire Ban. The hirer will be notified where possible and all monies paid in advance will be refunded.
